Traffic drops during migrations are almost never caused by the new platform — they're caused by broken redirect maps, changed URL structures, and content that quietly got dropped.
Before launch, export every indexed URL, every URL with backlinks, and every URL with clicks. Every one of those needs a 1:1 redirect to the closest equivalent on the new site. No 'we'll do it later'.
Post-launch, monitor Search Console daily for the first 30 days. Coverage errors, crawl anomalies, and redirect chains all surface here before they cascade into ranking drops.
